About the Role

We are seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Chelmsford from September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay engaged
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students in completing assigned work
• Report any issues or concerns to senior staff
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students
• Strong communicators with a professional manner
• Calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly
• Reliable, punctual, and committed
• Ideally experienced in education, youth work, coaching, or similar roles (desirable but not essential)
