We are working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Burnley who are seeking an experienced Teacher of Dance to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a committed and supportive team and will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver innovative, engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of pupils with a variety of abilities.
You will be responsible for teaching Dance lessons across the school and will be expected to contribute positively to the wider life of the department and school. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate Dance Teacher to become part of a supportive school community.
Start date: October 2026

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teacher of Dance you will:
- Have experience teaching Dance at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Dance.
- Have experience planning and delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Secondary teachers.
- Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
- Be available to commence the role in October 2026.
