Early Years Teacher – Full Time – October 2026

DL2 Area – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the DL2 area.

This is a full-time role, working within an engaging and nurturing Early Years setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences that support children's development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The role will commence in October 2026.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching within an EYFS or Reception setting would be advantageous.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, the desired Early Years Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging learning opportunities that meet the needs of all children.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating Early Years environment.
• Supporting children's development across the seven areas of learning and development.
• Promoting children's communication, language, social, emotional, physical, and personal development.
• Using a balance of child-initiated play and adult-led activities to support learning.
• Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress and development.
• Differentiating activities to meet the individual needs and interests of children.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children to develop confidence and independence.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Creating opportunities for children to develop early literacy, mathematics, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements

To be considered for the Early Years Teacher position, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within a primary or Early Years setting.
• Experience teaching EYFS or Reception is highly desirable.
• Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Be confident planning, delivering, and assessing age-appropriate learning opportunities.
• Understand the importance of play-based learning and child development.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Have high expectations for children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
• Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• Have a genuine passion for Early Years education.
• Be creative, nurturing, flexible, and proactive.
• Be available to work on a full-time basis.
