Chelmsford Secondary Schools are seeking enthusiastic and committed French Teachers to join supportive and ambitious school teams from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about language learning and inspiring students to develop confidence in French.
The Role:
- Teaching French across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Planning and delivering engaging and high-quality language lessons
- Developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Supporting student progress and attainment
- Contributing to the wider Modern Foreign Languages department and school community
- Full-time permanent contract starting September 2026
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching French within a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- A passion for language learning and cultural education
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
