The School and Role

Vision for Education are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Ticehurst. This full‑time role involves providing 1:1 and small‑group support for two children in KS1, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom.

As a Individual Needs Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, implement strategies, and create a positive, inclusive environment where both children feel valued, understood, and encouraged.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and making a meaningful difference in their school experience.

Requirements

The desired Individual Needs Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting (KS1 experience desirable)
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Confidence supporting children with additional needs
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
