Looking for flexible work in education?

Vision for Education is looking for caring, enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Support Assistants to work across mainstream primary schools in Thornbury and the surrounding BS35 area.

Whether you're looking for occasional supply days to fit around your schedule or hoping to secure a longer-term, full-time position, we have opportunities to suit different availability.

You'll be helping children access their learning, supporting classroom activities and working alongside teachers to create a positive environment where pupils feel encouraged and supported.

This is a great opportunity for experienced support staff or anyone with transferable skills who enjoys working with children and wants to make a difference in education.

What could your day involve?

Depending on the school and class, you may be:

• Supporting teachers during lessons and classroom activities.

• Helping pupils with reading, writing, maths and other subjects.

• Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.

• Encouraging children to participate and stay engaged.

• Supporting pupils who need additional help with their learning.

• Promoting positive behaviour and classroom routines.

• Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills.

• Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all pupils.

You'll have the chance to work in different classrooms, gain valuable experience and build relationships with schools in your local area.

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applications from people with backgrounds in childcare, nursery work, care, youth work, sports coaching or similar roles.

You'll need the Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
