About the Role

Vision for Education are looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Chigwell.

As an LSA, you will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. You will work closely with teachers and other members of staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required.
• Assist pupils with their learning and encourage them to become more independent.
• Support children with additional learning needs and help them overcome barriers to learning.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and supportive classroom activities.
• Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and development.
• Support pupils with their social and emotional wellbeing where appropriate.
• Assist with classroom preparation and general learning activities.
• Follow individual support plans and school policies.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their education.
• Is patient, caring, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is confident working independently as well as part of a team.
• Has a proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
• Previous experience working in a school, childcare or support setting is desirable but not essential.
• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE, Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent are beneficial but not essential.
