About the role

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and reliable Learning Support Assistant to work within a College based in Birmingham.

The Role –
In this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. Key responsibilities would include supporting pupils individual learning needs, offer guidance and encouragement, and assist them in developing new skills. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff within the classroom to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with a range of professionals to ensure pupils welfare and educational needs are fully met.

- A SEND school based in Birmingham, providing specialist education and support for pupils with additional needs.

- The school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About you:

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
