The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to provide support to pupils both in and outside of the classroom.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Working with individual children or small groups.
• Helping pupils stay focused and engaged with classroom activities.
• Supporting children who may have additional learning, behavioural or SEN needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and building pupils' confidence.
• Assisting with classroom activities and preparing learning resources.
• Working alongside the class teacher to provide a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Helping children develop their independence, communication and social skills.

About You

• Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not always essential.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Youth Worker or in a similar role would be advantageous.
