Vision for Education are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistants to work across welcoming primary schools in Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding areas.

Whether you have previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Worker, or you're looking to build your experience within education, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Work alongside teachers to support pupils in the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Help children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with classroom activities and interventions.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient and approachable.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed.
• Confident supporting children with different learning needs.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexible and willing to support wherever needed.
• Ideally experienced within a school, nursery, SEN or childcare setting — although this isn't essential.

We welcome applications from people with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Support Worker, Youth Worker, Nursery Practitioner or similar.
