£130 to £160 a day · One class, one school · Long term from September

A class of your own, and none of the rest of it.

That is what long-term supply is. You get the children, the teaching and the routine. You do not get performance management, the twilight sessions, or the school improvement plan landing on your desk in October.

Stafford and Stone schools are filling their September long-term cover right now. Maternity covers, long-term absence, PPA and full termly classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

And I will be honest with you, I get asked for Stafford teachers more often than I have got Stafford teachers to send.

What you get

• £130 to £160 a day, paid weekly – agreed in writing before you start

• One class, one school, a term or longer. Proper continuity, for you and for the children

• After 12 weeks you move onto the school's own pay scale. That is the law rather than a favour, and I will tell you exactly what it means for your money

• Schools in Stafford, Stone, Penkridge, Brewood and the villages around them – ST15 to ST19. No trek to Birmingham or up to the Potteries

• Day-to-day work as well, if you would rather keep it flexible

• Free CPD through the Edwin Group

You will need QTS, a DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to get one, and the right to work in the UK.

If a school is hard work, you will hear it from me first.

And I am not going to put you somewhere for a full term that you will want out of by half term.
