Maths Teacher – Alternative Provision, North Bristol
Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision (AP) in North Bristol. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people re-engage with education by delivering creative and accessible Maths lessons in a nurturing and supportive environment.
This is a full-time role starting on a supply basis through Vision for Education and is highly likely to become a permanent position for the right person, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within specialist education.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students within an Alternative Provision setting.
- Adapt learning to support pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage students to engage with learning.
- Use creative teaching strategies to improve confidence and attainment in Maths.
- Manage behaviour using consistent and positive approaches.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team to support student progress.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant experience teaching Maths.
- Have experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Have experience working with young people with additional behavioural or learning needs (desirable).
- Be confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships.
- Be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
