Nursery assistants wanted across Stoke-on-Trent, unqualified or Level 3. £498.40 to £640.80 a week full time, paid weekly, work all year round.
About the role
Nursery Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent | Unqualified or Level 3
£498.40–£640.80 per week | From £14.24 per hour | Weekly Pay | All-Year-Round Work
Looking for flexible nursery work in Stoke-on-Trent? Whether you're Level 3 qualified or have hands-on experience with children under five, we'd love to hear from you.
Winter is when nurseries need extra support. Staff catch whatever the children bring in, but staffing ratios still need to be met by 8am. That's where you come in.
At Vision For Education, we work with nurseries across Stoke-on-Trent that need reliable, caring Nursery Assistants throughout the year, including school holidays.
If you hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification, you'll be eligible for more opportunities and can count towards staffing ratios.
Not qualified? Don't rule yourself out. If you've worked with children under five as a nursery assistant, childminder, apprentice, playgroup volunteer or parent helper, we still want to hear from you.
What Does the Work Involve?
-
Supporting children in private and school-based nurseries, from baby rooms through to pre-school.
-
Helping with daily care routines, play activities, snack times and story time.
-
Supporting children as they settle, learn and develop.
-
Working alongside experienced room leaders and following each nursery's EYFS routines.
-
Opportunities to return to familiar nurseries, building relationships with children and staff.
Pay and Benefits
-
£498.40–£640.80 per week for full-time work, based on 35–40 paid hours at £14.24–£16.02 per hour.
-
Weekly pay through PAYE.
-
Work all year round, including school holidays.
-
Flexible working: Choose one day, five days or regular shifts at the same nursery, subject to availability.
-
Free training, including safeguarding, with support towards Paediatric First Aid.
-
Pension contributions after the qualifying period.
-
Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) compliance.
-
Refer-a-friend bonus.
-
A dedicated consultant who knows the local nurseries and will be honest about what to expect.
What We're Looking For
-
Experience working with children under five, whether paid or voluntary.
-
A Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.
-
A caring, patient and reliable approach.
-
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
-
The right to work in the UK.
Above all, we're looking for people who genuinely enjoy helping young children learn, grow and feel safe.
