A long-standing, reputable Private school setting in Redbridge have presented an enviable opportunity for a Nursery nurse to join their team from September 2026. The successful Nursery Nurse will join a team tasked in providing a high-quality EYFS provision for a small class of children aged 3-4 years of age. Although the principles of play will be very much encouraged, the class will almost run at Reception-aged level with a more ‘accelerated’ level of teaching and learning being in effect. With this in mind, candidates with a sound knowledge of Phonics and Numeracy will be favoured during the shortlisting process.

The successful candidate will enjoy access to smaller classes with more tailored learning, usage of state-of-the-art facilities and resources, and a chance to work within one of the more favoured groups of independent schools.

Working hours will be 0800-1600 , Monday-Friday. Only candidates without a recognised Early Childhood qualification/degree/certificate will be considered.

Experience and training needed for this role include:

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Nurse / Early Years Professional
  • An understanding of the expectations required when teaching within the independent sector
  • A great team-working ethic , and willingness to immerse yourself into the school culture
  • A recognised Early Childhood qualification/degree/certificate
