We’re looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable PPA Teacher to work in a friendly and supportive primary school in March, three days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher, someone returning to teaching after a break, or a teacher looking to reduce their working week while still enjoying the rewards of being in the classroom.

Working across KS1 and KS2, you’ll provide PPA cover for class teachers and help ensure pupils continue to receive engaging, high-quality teaching throughout the school week.

The role

As a PPA Teacher, you’ll work across different classes within the school, covering teachers during their allocated Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.

You’ll deliver engaging lessons, adapt confidently to different year groups and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can continue to learn and thrive.

The role is three days per week, during normal school hours, and offers the consistency of working within the same school while still enjoying the variety of teaching across different classes and year groups.

Planning will be provided, although you may be expected to adapt lessons where appropriate and complete light marking and assessment in line with the school’s expectations.

You’ll be joining a welcoming and supportive school team, with Teaching Assistants available within classes where appropriate.

What we’re looking for

To be considered for this PPA Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2
• Confidence teaching across different primary year groups
• A positive and adaptable approach to classroom management
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required clearance
• Two positive references covering your recent teaching experience
