The School and Role
This welcoming specialist school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a compassionate and experienced Pastoral Manager to support autistic pupils aged 11–19. The successful candidate will lead on pastoral care, behaviour support and student wellbeing, working closely with families and multi-agency professionals. The school is a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School with around 180 pupils and is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive environment where every young person can thrive.
Requirements
The desired Pastoral Manager will have;
- Experience working with children or young people with autism and/or SEND
- Experience leading pastoral, behaviour or safeguarding support
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies
