  • Support pupils with emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience and self-esteem.

  • Help manage challenging behaviour and promote positive choices.

  • Encourage attendance, engagement and participation in school life.

  • Identify barriers to learning and work with teaching staff and pastoral teams to address them.

  • Support pupils who may be experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.

  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, concerns and interventions.

  • Follow school safeguarding policies and report concerns appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working with young people in a school, mentoring, youth work or pastoral setting.

  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Is patient, empathetic, approachable and resilient.

  • Can manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

  • Can work effectively as part of a wider school support team.

  • Is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Why Apply Through Vision for Education?

  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives.

  • A rewarding role focused on pupil wellbeing and personal development.

  • The chance to gain or develop experience within a school environment.

  • Support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.

  • An opportunity to contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive school community.
