Vision for Education is recruiting friendly, motivated and dependable Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools in Kingswood and the surrounding BS15 area.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a school team, supporting children with their learning, encouraging positive classroom behaviour and helping pupils feel confident and included.

You'll work alongside class teachers to provide support throughout the school day, helping children get involved in lessons, develop new skills and make the most of their time at school.

What does the role involve?

Depending on the school and year group, you could be:

• Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities.

• Supporting pupils individually or in small groups.

• Assisting with reading, writing, maths and other areas of learning.

• Encouraging children to stay focused and participate in activities.

• Helping pupils understand instructions and complete tasks.

• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines.

• Building children's confidence, independence and social skills.

• Providing additional help to pupils who need support with their learning.

• Helping maintain a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment.

Previous school experience is helpful but not essential. Experience in childcare, nursery settings, support work, youth work, sports coaching or similar roles can be valuable.

You'll need the Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
