About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic and confident Primary Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Southend-on-Sea.

As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will lead classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and on task with pre-prepared learning activities. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, graduates, or individuals with experience working with children who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role Will Include:

• Supervising classes across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and activities
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils' learning and engagement
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children in a school, childcare, coaching, youth work or similar setting
• Be confident leading groups of pupils
• Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Be adaptable, reliable and professional
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
