About the role
Primary Supply Teacher – Stoke-on-Trent
£130 to £160 a day · You choose the days you work · No planning, no marking, no meetings
Home by half four. No books in the boot. No data drop on a Sunday night.
That is day-to-day supply, and it is why a lot of very good teachers who were about ready to pack it in are still stood in front of a class.
I cover primary schools right across Stoke. Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Fenton, Longton, Meir, Blurton, Bentilee, and out into Newcastle-under-Lyme. EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
What you get
-
£130 to £160 a day, paid weekly – rate agreed in writing before you go anywhere
-
You pick your days. Two a week, four, or full time. Say no whenever you need to
-
Schools inside ST1 to ST6, so a short drive and settings you get to know properly
-
Long-term and termly work too, if you would rather have one class and a bit of routine
-
Free CPD through the Edwin Group
Who this suits
-
Experienced primary teachers who want their week back
-
ECTs after real classroom time and a school that will actually support your induction rather than tolerate it
-
Anyone coming back after a break, or winding down towards retirement on two or three days
-
Overseas-trained teachers with recognised QTS who need UK classroom experience
You will need QTS, a DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to get one, and the right to work in the UK.
Straight with you
I cover this patch and nothing else. I know which schools are a pleasure and which ones are hard work, and I will tell you which is which before you set off. Sending you somewhere you hate does neither of us any good.
You will not get rung at ten past eight for a school forty minutes away.
You will not be left waiting on a call that never comes.
And if I tell you it is Year 4, it will be Year 4.
How to Apply
Apply through this website with an up-to-date CV and your contact details.
Not got a CV to hand? Send your name and number instead and I will give you a ring.
