The School and Role

A welcoming primary school in the TS7 area of Middlesbrough is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on an ongoing basis.

This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, providing PPA cover across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment.

This supportive and inclusive school is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential. The successful teacher will work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to support teaching and learning across the school.

Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, the desired teacher will confidently manage a variety of KS2 classes, build positive relationships with pupils, and promote high standards of behaviour and achievement.

Requirements

The desired PPA Cover Teacher will have:

• PGCE with QTS.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• The ability to confidently teach across a range of KS2 year groups.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• A commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
