About the Role

Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a full-time Primary KS2 Teacher to work within a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Darlington DL1 area.

This role involves teaching within a KS2 classroom, working closely with pupils and school staff to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupils' academic progress, and ensuring all children are able to access learning and achieve their full potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is passionate about education and looking to make a positive impact within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress through effective teaching and feedback.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes to learning.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents where appropriate.
  • Prepare engaging resources and contribute to wider school activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and caring approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • A commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
