Year 4 Teacher – Part Time – October 2026
TS3 – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the TS3 area.
This is a part-time role, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive Year 4 classroom. The successful candidate will be adaptable and confident in delivering engaging, creative, and inclusive learning experiences that support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
The role will commence in October 2026.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching within Year 4 or Key Stage 2 would be advantageous.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, the desired Year 4 Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning opportunities in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Teaching a Year 4 class and supporting pupils to make strong academic progress.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' progress.
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Managing behaviour effectively and promoting positive relationships.
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
- Developing pupils' skills across the Year 4 curriculum, including reading, writing, mathematics, and wider curriculum subjects.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies where required.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements
To be considered for the Year 4 Teacher position, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Have experience working within KS2, with Year 4 experience desirable.
- Have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Be confident in planning, delivering, and assessing learning opportunities.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Have high expectations of pupils' achievement and development.
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Have a genuine passion for primary teaching and learning.
- Be flexible and confident working within a Year 4 setting on a part-time basis.
