About the role
KS2 Teacher – Part Time – October 2026
DL5 Area – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DL5 area on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident teacher to work across Years 4–6, delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons across the KS2 curriculum, supporting pupils to make strong academic and personal progress. You will be confident working with pupils across Years 4, 5 and 6 and able to adapt your teaching to meet a range of abilities and needs.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
- Teach across Years 4–6, adapting lessons to suit different year groups and abilities
- Support pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum knowledge
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and productive learning environment
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress
- Provide appropriate challenge and support to ensure all pupils can achieve their potential
- Work closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within KS2, particularly Years 4–6
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
- Experience planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to differentiate effectively for a range of abilities and needs
- A nurturing, patient and inclusive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
- Part-time availability
