About the role
Secondary Teacher – PRU Setting | South Bristol
School Hours | Term Time Only | Flexible & Long-Term Opportunities Available
This role involves supporting students who have been removed from mainstream education for a variety of reasons, including behavioural needs, SEMH challenges, and barriers to learning. The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships, create a positive learning environment, and support students both academically and emotionally.
You’ll be working with smaller class sizes and a supportive staff team who understand the importance of consistency, patience, and structure.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience teaching secondary-aged students
- Be confident managing behaviour within the classroom
- Be able to build positive and consistent relationships with students
- Have a calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Be passionate about supporting students who need additional guidance
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
What we offer:
- Flexible and long-term opportunities available
- School hours and term time only
- Initial free training courses
- Support from a dedicated consultant throughout placements
- Opportunity to make a real impact within alternative education settings
If you’re passionate about supporting young people outside of mainstream education and want a rewarding role within a supportive PRU environment, we’d love to hear from you.
