Vision for Education is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Classroom Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Burnley, starting in October.

Whether you’re a sports coach, youth worker, graduate, teaching assistant, support worker or simply someone with great experience working with young people, this could be the perfect opportunity to take that experience into the classroom.

What will you be doing?

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in keeping learning on track when teachers are absent. You’ll supervise pupils across KS3 and KS4, deliver engaging pre-planned lessons and create a calm, positive environment where students can continue to learn.

No two days are exactly the same. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with pupils, develop your classroom management skills and gain valuable experience within a secondary school.

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher. We’re looking for someone who is confident, reliable and passionate about helping young people succeed.

Could this be you?

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience working with children or young people
• Have strong communication and classroom management skills
• Are confident, approachable and able to take charge of a classroom
• Have experience as a sports coach, youth worker, support worker, teaching assistant or similar
• Are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
• Ideally hold a degree, although this is not essential
• Are looking for a new challenge within education

Don’t worry if you haven’t worked as a Cover Supervisor before. Training and ongoing support can be provided to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the classroom.
