About the role

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Coniston. This is a full-time, term-time position, starting in September 2026.

About the role

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives? We are working in partnership with a school in Coniston that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support and work with a small group of children from September 2026.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide tailored support, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals. You will support children with a range of additional needs, adapting activities where required and encouraging positive engagement both in and out of the classroom.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential. Previous experience working with children with additional needs is desirable, although not essential, as full support and ongoing training will be provided.

About the school

The school is a welcoming and inclusive setting in Coniston, committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child is valued and supported to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need, and the leadership team is dedicated to the professional development and wellbeing of all staff.

We are keen to hear from Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to helping children develop both academically and personally.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred).
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND or additional learning needs (desirable).
  • Be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from:

  • Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system (daily rate is subject to experience, qualifications, and the responsibilities of the role).
  • Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).
  • Social and networking events.
  • Pension contributions.
  • Ongoing CPD to support your professional development.
  • Access to a dedicated consultant.
