About the role

Do you have a passion for inspiring young people and supporting their learning across a range of secondary subjects?

Vision for Education is currently recruiting Secondary Supply Teachers to work in a variety of secondary schools across Telford and the surrounding areas.

About the role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning, promoting positive behaviour, and creating a supportive classroom environment.

This role is ideal for qualified teachers seeking flexibility, a better work-life balance, or the opportunity to gain experience in different secondary school settings. Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply, short-term placements, or long-term opportunities, Vision for Education can help you find work that suits your career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a positive, engaging, and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school's policies.
  • Support students in completing the work set by the absent teacher.
  • Adapt confidently to different school environments and classroom settings.
  • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.

About the school

You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools throughout Telford, including community schools, academies, and multi-academy trusts.

Our partner schools typically offer:

  • Supportive senior leadership teams and experienced staff.
  • Clear behaviour policies and high expectations for learning.
  • Well-resourced classrooms and established routines.
  • A strong commitment to inclusion, student wellbeing, and academic achievement.

Long-term placements can provide the opportunity to become an integral member of a school's teaching team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and confident teaching across different subjects when required.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

Why work for Vision for Education

  • Flexible work to suit your lifestyle and commitments
  • Opportunities in a variety of Telford secondary schools
  • Competitive daily pay rates
  • Long-term and permanent opportunities available
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your journey
