Vision for Education is looking to recruit an SEN Classroom Support Assistant to work in specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions across the Cheltenham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs.
The Role
As an SEN Classroom Support Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping pupils feel supported, engaged and confident throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assisting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional learning needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping pupils access classroom activities and learning
- Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals to provide tailored support
- Building positive relationships that help pupils develop confidence and independence
We have flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements and permanent positions.

What We're Looking For
To be considered for this SEN Classroom Support Assistant role, you should:
- Have a patient, caring and positive approach
- Be passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Be reliable and able to work well as part of a team
- Have experience in education, care, youth work, coaching or support work (desirable but not essential)
- Be able to provide suitable references
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
