Vision for Education is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to work within specialist schools across Stroud. We work closely with a number of fantastic SEN settings and are looking for teachers who want to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher, or a teacher from a mainstream background looking to move into specialist education. We are looking to place teachers into long-term roles where they can build relationships with pupils, become part of the school community and have a lasting impact.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of every learner.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
- Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom where pupils can develop both academically and personally.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to help pupils achieve their individual targets.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider school staff to provide the best possible outcomes for pupils.
About You
To be considered for this SEN Teacher role, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have recent teaching experience within UK schools.
- Be confident adapting lessons to suit a range of learning needs.
- Be patient, resilient and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
- Have a genuine interest in special educational needs and inclusive education.
Previous experience in an SEN setting is welcomed, although teachers with strong mainstream experience and a desire to transition into specialist education are also encouraged to apply.
