Vision for Education is working with a welcoming specialist school in Coleford that urgently needs a teacher to cover a staff absence, with a start required very shortly.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified teacher with primary school experience who wants to explore specialist education. Previous SEN teaching experience isn't essential - the school is looking for someone with the right mindset, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

You'll support children and young people with severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs, helping them develop their communication, confidence, independence and learning skills.

What will you be doing?

• Providing teaching cover for a teacher on leave.

• Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons.

• Adapting activities to meet pupils' individual needs.

• Supporting communication, confidence and independence.

• Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff.

• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Who are we looking for?

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Previous primary school teaching experience.

• A patient, adaptable and positive approach.

• A genuine interest in supporting children with severe learning difficulties.

• Confidence in the classroom and a willingness to learn.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

No previous SEN teaching experience is required. Your primary teaching background and willingness to develop new skills are what matter most.
