  • Providing reassurance, encouragement, and emotional support throughout the school day.
  • Supporting pupils with classroom routines and transitions.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and helping children to develop appropriate strategies for managing challenges.
  • Adapting activities and resources where appropriate to help pupils access learning.
  • Encouraging participation in age-appropriate learning and classroom activities.
  • Supporting the development of communication, social, emotional, and independence skills.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SEN team, and wider school team to ensure consistent support.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils both individually and within small groups.

The successful candidate will be patient, caring, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and respond effectively to a range of individual needs.
