Learning Support Assistant – PMLD & SLD | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Chelmsford

Are you passionate about supporting children with complex learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

We’re currently recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive specialist setting in Chelmsford, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The Role

• Provide 1:1 support to students with high-level needs

• Support learning, mobility and communication

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families

• Encourage independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing

• Provide consistent, structured and nurturing support throughout the school day

Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

The role initially starts on a temporary basis, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with the students and wider team. For the right candidate, there is the potential to move into a permanent position.
