SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

£462.80 - £475 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

A Primary School based in Newcastle Upon Tyne is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will expected to provide a mix of 1:1 and 2:1 support to pupils in KS2, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. The Head Teacher is seeking a nurturing, patient, and proactive individual with previous SEND experience for this role and knowledge of the KS2 curriculum would be beneficial. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

- Experience of working within KS2.

- Experience of supporting children with SEND.

- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- A calm and approachable manner.
