About the role

Secondary Supply Teacher

Vision for Education

Are you a passionate secondary teacher looking for flexibility, variety and the opportunity to make a real difference in schools?

Vision for Education is excited about the year ahead, with the new GCA Government framework for supply agencies meaning we are now an exclusive or preferred supplier to more schools than ever before.

We are currently looking to welcome Secondary Supply Teachers across all subjects to our team. Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for greater flexibility, an ECT building your experience, or simply looking for a change from your current role, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of secondary schools, supporting pupils and delivering high-quality lessons across your specialist subject.

With Vision for Education, you can choose the type of work that suits you. We have opportunities ranging from:

  • Flexible day-to-day supply, giving you the freedom to choose when and where you work.
  • Short-term assignments, allowing you to experience different schools and settings.
  • Longer-term placements, providing greater consistency and the opportunity to become part of a school community.
  • Potential permanent opportunities for those looking for their next long-term career move.

We work closely with our partner schools to match teachers with opportunities that suit their experience, preferences and career goals.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from teachers of all secondary subjects, including but not limited to English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, PE, Art, Design & Technology, Computing and the Performing Arts.

You will ideally:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or have relevant teaching experience.
  • Have experience teaching within a secondary school environment.
  • Be passionate about education and committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be adaptable, reliable and confident working in different school environments.
  • Have a positive and professional approach to teaching.

ECTs are also encouraged to apply. We can offer opportunities to gain valuable experience and develop your teaching practice across a range of schools.

Why Work With Vision for Education?

We understand that every teacher has different priorities, which is why we offer genuine flexibility and choice.

As an exclusive or preferred supplier to more schools than ever before, our teachers have access to a wider range of opportunities across the region.

You can expect:

  • The choice of flexible or longer-term assignments.
  • Competitive rates of pay.
  • A dedicated consultant who understands your requirements.
  • Opportunities to gain experience across different school settings.
  • Support throughout your assignments.
  • Access to professional development and training opportunities.
  • A straightforward registration process.
  • The opportunity to find a role that works around you.
