No previous Teaching Assistant experience is required. If you're passionate about helping children reach their full potential, we'll provide the training and support you need to begin your career in education.

This role begins on a flexible zero-hours supply contract, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in specialist ASC settings, with the potential to secure a long-term or permanent position with one of our partner schools.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities.
  • Encourage communication, confidence and independence.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and supported.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to meet the individual needs of each child.

Requirements

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • Are patient, caring and resilient.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential).
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
