The role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other school staff to support pupils’ learning, confidence and development. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where needed.

• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.

• Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons.

• Supporting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive classroom environment.

• Adapting your approach to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.

• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.

What we’re looking for

• A patient, caring and positive approach.

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• A reliable, flexible and proactive attitude.

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
