About the Role

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within supportive and inclusive schools across Thurrock. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.

The Role Will Include

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils’ learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and social development
• Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals

Requirements

The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Relevant qualifications or experience within education, care, or support work (desirable)
