EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time – September 2026
Guisborough (TS14) – £444 per week (based on 5 days per week)
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the Guisborough (TS14) area.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday during school hours. The successful candidate will provide classroom support within a Reception class, working closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing during this important stage of their education.
The role will commence in September 2026 and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning. Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is essential.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive and enthusiastic teaching team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide high-quality support within a busy Reception classroom.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting children during whole-class carpet sessions and adult-led activities.
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to promote early learning and development.
- Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through engaging, play-based learning.
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and communication activities.
- Helping to prepare stimulating learning environments and classroom resources.
- Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and independence through nurturing relationships.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will be proactive, caring, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements
To be considered for the EYFS Teaching Assistant position, you will:
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
- Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
- Have recent experience supporting children within an EYFS or Reception classroom.
- Be confident supporting phonics, early language development, and play-based learning.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed and supportive school team.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrate a positive, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting young children's learning.
