About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support in a Year 6 class within a primary school in the TS1 area of Middlesbrough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, flexible, and passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential. You will support the class teacher in delivering lessons, assist pupils with their learning, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Year 6 class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with pupils
- Assist in the preparation of classroom resources
- Help manage classroom behaviour
- Provide additional support to pupils where required
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
