About the role

Vision for Education are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school in Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs and helping them to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • To assist children 1-1 or in small groups and work closely alongside other support staff and teachers
  • Assist in academic tasks, social interactions and behaviour management as and when required. The successful candidate will ensure every pupil feels valued and supported.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of pupil routines to support a consistent and reassuring school day.

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant role, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
