About the Role
Vision for Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to work on a full-time basis within a welcoming primary school in the TS7 area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate teacher to join a supportive school team and provide high-quality teaching and learning for pupils in Year 5. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire pupils, while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider school team to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons for a Year 5 class.
- Ensure lessons meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Develop pupils' skills across the Year 5 curriculum.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to become confident and independent learners.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour, and personal development.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents where appropriate.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support school policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5, is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A caring, patient, flexible, and proactive approach.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
