As a Teaching Assistant in Burnley, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND team to provide individualised support to a pupil with additional needs. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, remain engaged in learning, develop confidence and independence, and overcome barriers to their education.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be patient, understanding and consistent, with the ability to build a positive relationship with the pupil and provide appropriate support throughout the school day. Experience working with children or young people with additional needs would be highly beneficial.

Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

- Be confident working on a one-to-one basis and as part of a wider school team.
- Be able to use your own initiative and adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
