Vision for Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to work at Braeburn Primary School in Scarborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety in their role and are passionate about supporting children across the primary age range.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be available to work between 3 and 5 days per week, providing flexible support throughout the school as required.

No two days are the same in this role. You will work across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Year 6, supporting pupils in a range of classroom and intervention settings.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions to support learning and progress.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and promoting pupil engagement.
  • Carrying out general Teaching Assistant duties across the school as required.
  • Adapting quickly to different classes, age groups and learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children in a school, childcare or educational setting.
  • Are confident supporting pupils from EYFS through to Year 6.
  • Have a flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Are comfortable providing SEND support and delivering interventions.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Are available to work between 3 and 5 days per week.
