As a Teaching Assistant in Preston, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND team to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs. You will help students access the curriculum, develop their confidence and independence, and overcome barriers to learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be confident supporting secondary-aged pupils and have a positive, patient and consistent approach to behaviour management. Requirements

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Have experience working with secondary age children.
  • Hold a minimum Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Be a confident communicator, able to use your own initiative when required.
