The School and Role
We are seeking an empathetic, proactive Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, two-form entry primary school situated in the heart of Middleton Parish. Working closely with class teachers, you will support children across the primary phase, helping to facilitate high-quality learning, emotional regulation, and positive classroom engagement. Requirements
The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEND, ASC, ADHD, or SEMH needs, utilizing trauma-informed or neurodiversity-affirming approaches where appropriate

Be patient, adaptable, and skilled at supporting adaptive teaching strategies in the classroom

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build positive, trusted relationships with pupils and staff

Be passionate about promoting positive mental health, pupil resilience, and equitable learning access

Be proactive, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a cohesive school community
