We are seeking an empathetic, proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bury starting in November 2026. Working closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and wider support teams, you will facilitate high-quality learning, emotional regulation, and positive classroom engagement across the primary phase. Requirements
To apply for this Teaching Assistant role, you should have:

Experience supporting children in a primary school or educational setting, or a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience or strong familiarity supporting pupils with SEN, SEND, ASC, ADHD, or SEMH needs, utilizing neurodiversity-affirming or trauma-informed approaches where appropriate

High levels of patience, adaptability, and skill in supporting adaptive teaching and targeted intervention strategies

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

A reliable, collaborative, and proactive approach to supporting positive mental health and pupil autonomy
