About the role

Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Temporary)

Bishop Auckland, DL14

£462.80 - £525 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications )

October 2026 – July 2027

The School and Role

On behalf of Advanced Learning Partnership, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly school in Bishop Auckland. Working as part of an established team, the Teaching Assistant will be supporting a Key Stage 1 child with additional needs. The child will require behavioural support, as well as academics and wellbeing. The role would be 5 days a week, 8.30am – 3.30pm. Experience working with children with SEND would be essential. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and can be accessed on public transport.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
