Vision for Education are currently recruiting Trainee Cover Supervisors in Telford to work across a range of secondary schools in the area.

About the role

As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will support classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused and on task. You will help maintain high standards of behaviour, support learning across different subjects, and gain valuable classroom experience.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in education, gain classroom experience or explore working in schools. No previous school experience is required, as full in-house and online training will be provided to help you develop the skills and confidence needed for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3–5 following guidance from teaching staff
• Maintain student engagement, behaviour and safety
• Support students with learning activities and pre-set work
• Adapt to the needs of different classes and school environments
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements

• A genuine interest in starting a career in education
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

• A positive and enthusiastic approach to working with young people

Full in-house and online training will be provided, including support to help you develop your classroom management, safeguarding and education-based skills.
