The Programme

As part of the National Teaching Assistant Programme, you'll receive:

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.
• Work with pupils individually and in small groups.
• Support children with their learning and development.
• Assist pupils with additional needs and SEND where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support classroom activities and learning interventions.

About You

You don't necessarily need previous experience working in a school — we're looking for people who are:

• Passionate about working with children and young people.
• Caring, patient and approachable.
• Reliable and enthusiastic.
• Keen to learn and develop their skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with children.
• Committed to making a difference to pupils' education and development.
• Looking to establish a long-term career in education.

Previous experience in education, childcare, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support work would be advantageous, but is not essential.
